Playing Dolby Vision MKVs on LG TV
I used makemkv 1.17.3 to rip "No Time to Die" and "Shin Ultraman", both with Dolby Vision video streams/tracks. From what I've read, I should be able to play the MKVs on my LG C9 TV via the USB port. However, the files are not recognized by the TV, although MKVs without Dolby Vis...

Good to know. Sounds like I got a winner, then.Billycar11 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 31, 2022 5:45 pmThe bp60 is a good drive pretty much a bu40n but with the sata board removed.
Yes. I would not have been able to rip 7 of 9 if I didn't, correct? (I'm not being snarky. I'm legitimately asking.)

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2022
Sorry if I did not catch this in this massively long thread... Is there a list of drives prioritized by reliability - i.e. ability to consistently read UHD discs? I just started using a BP60NB10. I'm about 9 discs in and 2 (22%) have had read problems, even after cleaning the disc. Is there any driv...

Excellent. Thanks for that.
Now I just need to figure out those instructions on how to get my drive working with MakeMKV.

Is 4K monitor required to rip 4K discs?
My apologies up front, as this likely sounds like a massively stupid question... Is a 4K monitor required to rip 4K discs with MakeMKV? I bought an LG BP60NB10 in hopes of ripping 4K discs. When I tried to play a movie via the CyberLink software that came with the drive, it said my GPU does not supp...

Re: Problematic HD-DVDs
Yes, I noticed that the subtitle selection was missing. Also, unless it was just the two titles I tried with last night, it doesn't seem to be bringing the titles for each of the tracks into MakeMKV any longer. These, in my opinion, should continue to pre-populate the 'name' field in MakeMKV. It's ...

Re: Problematic HD-DVDs
Anyone else having trouble with HD-DVDs since 1.7.1? I've found that ISOs of my HD-DVDs that would rip successfully with 1.7.0 are crashing 1.7.1. Since I no longer have the drive (just the discs and the ISO copies) I don't have the hardware to try running it against the discs themselves to see if ...

Re: *BUG* 1.6.8 HD-DVD minimum title length
I'm running version 1.7.3 on Windows 7 32-bit and this still seems to be an issue with HD-DVDs. From what I recall, it does work for Blu-rays.
