Re: [BUG] Missing Chapters ripping Pokemon
A question - do the episodes share a common open/close? ... Well yes, the start of one episode's chapter is the end of another episode's chapter. The second episode should start around 21:40 and there should be a chapter there but there isn't. I get makemkv sync issues around each episode break. Th...

Re: makemkcon Set DVD open mode
When you set it to CellTrim with the GUI on macOS, settings.conf is updated to include this: dvd_SPRemoveMethod = "2" So my guess is you need to update the settings to whatever mode you want as appropriate for your platform and then start makemkvcon. Thank you for sharing! I see I have se...

makemkcon Set DVD open mode

[BUG] Missing Chapters ripping Pokemon
I am having a hell of time properly ripping the Pokemon DVDs. The problem is that a lot of cartoons I rip contain just a giant mpeg that I have to split later. I manually go through each mpeg and list the start and end chapters for each episode and save it in a text file for parsing later. The probl...

Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
And my BU40 is a ASUS BW-16D1HT, not LG. ASUS does not actually manufacture optical drives. They do, however, rebrand other optical drives and put their own firmware on them. Some older ASUS drives were rebranded Pioneer drives. Most often ASUS drives are rebranded LG drives. An ASUS BW-16D1HT is t...

Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
Pioneer external slim BDR-XS07U works, and rips significantly faster than my internal BU40N or internal BW-16D1HT . It's supposed to be a 4x drive but it's faster than my 8x drive, on USB 3. I'd share my firmware but makemkv's sdftool doesn't work on linux (wish it did). I couldn't flash my BU40N a...
