UPDATE: turns out the laser was a bit dirty rather than the discs. cleaning it with the appropriate cloth looks to have fixed it now that my computer recognizes the first disc after doing so.

I did give cleaning the discs a try. I also tried switching between cables, doing a power cycle, restarting the software, etc. nothing seems to work unfortunately

I preordered the X Trilogy box set on A24's website on 4K blu-ray but can't get my drive or MakeMKV to read the discs. it might be just me or are these discs actually defective to my computer? I'm only trying to make sense of it since they won't play on my LG BP60NB10 but the discs are recognized by...

It also happened with the standard blu-ray, which just stops before starting anything
