I'm also having the same problem. No fixes as of now. I'm on NixOS Warbler, installed makemkv through nixpkgs version 1.18.1. All the same problem as you guys have mentioned but unfortunately none of the fixes are working. Adding DVD first doesn't work, replacing _private_data.tar doesn't work. Down...
