I decided to watch the dvd proper to see if there is anything unusual. It plays from start to end without error. There is one part however where the transfer from tape obviously had a hiccup (screen glitch), but it plays nonetheless. It is at *about* the same time that MakeMKV bombs out. irrespectiv...

Just bought the box set of 'absolutely - everything' box set comedy tv show, just recently released.
disc one, fine
disc two, fine
disc three failed on one chapter (episode).
