Re: AACS errors on Fedora FC 19 X64
Thank you for the detailed explanation. I have posted this to redhat bugzilla, hopefully 192 bit curves can be enabled.
ETA: I got the answer, turns out it has nothing to do with FIPS - 192 bit curves cannot be enabled for legal reasons. Damn patents...

Re: AACS errors on Fedora FC 19 X64
I did some checks and found the following: the ec support was added to openssl-1.0.1e-27.fc20, but was then limited to only NIST Suite B in openssl-1.0.1e-28.fc20. -27 works with makemkv, -28 does not. Which curves are needed by makemkv? With this information I could file a bug asking to have them r...

Re: Also Problems with 1.8.6 Compilation
Your ffmpeg is way too old. You need 2.0 to build without patches. 1.2 can be allegedly made to work, but this is yet to be confirmed

Re: Does not work after upgrading to makemkv-1.8.6 & Fedora
Downgrading to 1.8.5 does not help unfortunately. Should I post the MKB_v*.tgz files somewhere? $ LANG=C MMBD_TRACE=1 bd_info /dev/sr0 file/dl_posix.c:101: dlsym(0x2226c80, 'aacs_get_device_binding_id') failed: /lib64/libaacs.so.0: undefined symbol: aacs_get_device_binding_id MMBD: MakeMKV v1.8.5 li...

refcounted_frames was added to avcodec.h in ffmpeg-2.0.

Re: Does not work after upgrading to makemkv-1.8.6 & Fedora
Is there any chance you could send me makemkv-1.8.5? This way I could check if it is the system upgrade which hosed the setup.

Re: makemkv 1.8.6 compilaton fails on Fedora 18/19/20
I told you it will not work, tried it myself. I am one of the people maintaining ffmpeg for Fedora. We do not update ffmpeg after release due to multitude of dependencies. Fedora 20 will be out in a month, and it sports ffmpeg-2.1.0 which does work with makemkv-1.8.6.

Re: makemkv 1.8.6 compilaton fails on Fedora 18/19/20
You probably don't have ffmpeg-devel installed. In any case, ffmpeg in Fedora 19 is too old (1.2.4).

Re: Does not work after upgrading to makemkv-1.8.6 & Fedora
I don't have any new ones. The ones I was inserting were the big bang theory season 7 and star trek tng season 2, both of which worked before the upgrade.

Re: unable to upgrade to 1.8.6
I don't unfortunately, as I upgraded to fedora 20 for this very reason. It was failing with something about avcodeccontext. I can set up a fedora 19 vm if needed.

Does not work after upgrading to makemkv-1.8.6 & Fedora 20
Hi, I have updated my system from Fedora 19 to Fedora 20 Beta in order to be able to install makemkv-1.8.6. Unfortunately, the set-up no longer works after this operation, even though I am trying exactly the same discs as yesterday. Any ideas what might have gone wrong? $ LANG=C MMBD_TRACE=1 bd_info...

Re: unable to upgrade to 1.8.6
The fact of the matter is that makemkv-1.8.6 needs very recent ffmpeg. 1.2 does not work, 2.1 does. I am not sure about 2.0.
