Hardware restrictions for what? If you are talking about UHD disc playback, although direct UHD disc playback is not recommended, it can be done on any decent spec PC (including yours) using any UHD compatible libredrive enabled drive via an unofficial player such as VLC, MPC_HC, Jriver, etc once i...

Hi,
Thank you so much for doing God's work.
I have a noob question : will this lift some hardware restrictions that some drives have? Specifically, I have a BDR-XS07UHD which requires specific Intel CPU and GPU tech but my PC has an AMD Ryzen 9 CPU + Nvidia 4090.

Thanks. I should've done more research before buying. So, not that this concerns me anymore (I have an AMD CPU and Nvidia GPU so I'm out of the picture), but I think it should be added that, unless I missed some details, Intel stopped supporting SGX on their Core processors since at least 2021.
