Primary HTPC
i3 Caby Lake
8 GB RAM
SSD
No high utilization on any of the components. If there were random lag, I would suspect performance, but it's always the same places where the movie stutters.
Also stutters on other systems.

Follow up to that, found software called "PotPlayer" which does play the movies, but they still stutter.

The logic you are missing: It's your player / playing setup. @Coopervid Thanks for the reply. Totally open to following up on this, but having a helluva time trying to find a good 4K MKV player. Been messing with VLC for days and no joy. Don't want to drop money on one of the many garbage programs ...

Sorry, for the redundant post, but think it might be better in this forum than "UHD Drives". Mods please delete whichever one is less appropriate. Every 4K Rip Stutters at SAME POINT During Playback [Asus BW-16D1HT (3.10MK)] Post by krizzz » Sun Feb 07, 2021 12:27 pm None of the 4K rips I ...

Re: Can't rip (or even read) "The Hunger Games: Catching fire"
It's been more than 1.5 years since I started this thread. Meanwhile, I bought another new drive, the LG BU40N which is indeed fantastic, as everyone here says, yet even it wouldn't read those two 3-layered discs, that is - the two copies of "Catching Fire" I bought back then. Recently Za...

Not sure if it's the beta key or an eval key, but not a purchased one.

Re: "Failed to Open Disc" on every BD (and Unencrypted ISO)

Re: "Failed to Open Disc" on every BD (and Unencrypted ISO)
OK, this is REALLY weird. I went into the settings to try and find/enable logging so I could post per your request. I checked the "Enable Debug" box and restarted the app. I am running it right now against an ISO and it seems to be working now...hmmmm. I'll do some additional testing (and ...

"Failed to Open Disc" on every BD (and Unencrypted ISO)
I must be missing something big here because I can't get MakeMKV to open anything. Multiple different New and Old BD's Multiple ISO Images ripped with encryption removal via AnyDVDHD I disabled AnyDVD due to the warnings that MakeMKV throws when I try starting it while it is running. Here is the out...
