Re: [Solved] ASUS BW-16D1HT - Unable to Read UHD
Took a chance! Did the flashing again. Turned off the computer and cut the power for 15-20 sec. Now both drives read as they should.. Have done plenty of tripple layers also. I reach 22-30MB/s on them usually. Mostly hovering around 25MB/sec. Total rip time is half of the Pioneer. I have actually ri...

Re: Ocean's 11
I'll see about adding tool tips next time I'm in the code. I have to ask another thing about the app. Why does it update the downloading process with a new line in the log window? Wouldn’t it be better and nicer if it just updated over the same line? Or is there maybe a reason for this behaviour?

Re: [Solved] ASUS BW-16D1HT - Unable to Read UHD
I bought two of these ASUS drives for my new computer. Both were on 3.11. I just flashed them directly to 3.10 and it worked fine. No issues, no complaints from the software or the drive. Or is there trouble waiting for me? These LG type drives don't work very good with 3-layer discs. If you have t...

Re: Ocean's 11
Thanks. Yeah I saw that. I will try to set that up later. One of the nice things about SamuriHL's utility is that it also allows you to validate a disk's entry in KEYDB.cfg against the disk itself :). Thanks @SamuriHL. I installed and tested it. Worked as expected. Great program, very useful. A sug...

Re: Ocean's 11
Wow! Fixed already? I did two things. I downloaded a new version of keydb.cfg and also renamed it to KEYDB.cfg. Don’t know which fixed it but now the Ocean’s Eleven disc works fine. :D If anything was done, thanks to those involved. You need to use the synchronize option of FindVUK. It updates the ...

Re: Ocean's 11
I have keydb installed. But I can't see if it is being used. Installed it in the /.MakeMKV folder so it should be used automatically I guess?! I will try to clean the surface and try again. It is a completely new disc so it could be a thin layer of dust. But usually MakeMKV reports if it can't read ...

Ocean's 11
MakeMKV failed to decrypt Ocean's 11, nordic release.
Seems I can't attach a dump. Board attachment quota has been reached?!
Edit: Saw that the dump should be emailed. Did so.

Re: Asus BW-16D1X-U
Such a thing has never been reported before. Is this a drive in an USB enclosure? If yes you need to remove power AND USB. Otherwise the drive electronics is still powered by the USB connection. These errors can also originate if the drive doesn't get enough power. Maybe with the new firmware it ne...

Re: Asus BW-16D1X-U Platform RS8600 Firmware Flashing?
Worked fine. Thanks! Did a test rip of my Jurassic World: Dominion 4k disc. Took about 1 hour 15 minutes. MakeMKV said it reached about 4x reading speed. This was e selected files rip of about 76GB. Don't know if this is good or bad?! Problem is that my laptop has two graphics cards built in. The Nv...

Re: Asus BW-16D1X-U Platform RS8600 Firmware Flashing?
PM sent. Hi! I just got the same ASUS external bluray writer and exactly the same drive information. Except OS device name: D When I open the flash tool it says I'm not a MT1959 platform and I'm encrypted. Could you please help me. You need to post your Makemkv info to play it safe. Thought I did. ...
