I have the BDR-XD08. My collection is mostly DVDs and only a few dozen HD Blu-rays, so firmware issues weren't a concern. I wanted the external slimline profile to connect to a Mac mini M4 Pro. You should not copy libaacs.dylib. If it later gets updated by Homebrew, you would have to copy it again. You should also not use a macOS alias file or copy/paste or drag/drop anything in the Finder.
