Re: DTS-HD MA - Why are MA and Core both selectable ?
You only need to check the DTS-HD stream; it will automatically take the DTS core and DTS-HD extension to give you the full DTS-HD experience you're after. I have tested this; my PopcornHour C-200 plays it as DTS-HD while my WDTV Live extracts and plays the DTS core since it doesn't support DTS-HD. ...

Re: Feature Request: Contact Online Database for Movie Info
Mike, is it possible to create such a database? I'm not asking you to make one, I'm just curious if such a feat is even possible.

Re: TRUEHD AUDIO
MakeMKV doesn't re-encode the track, it just copies it into the MKV container. If your player doesn't support it, then it doesn't support it. I'd recommend a WD TV Live as it plays everything. The latest WD TV Live is a very good media player for the money, but it doesn't play everything . The prim...

Re: Dolby True HD Sound in Combination with WD Live TV
Hmm, maybe it depends on which WDTV model you have. I'm pretty confident that some of the older units did not decode TrueHD; it was the reason why I started ripping my collection using a combination of the FLAC and WDTV profiles. I did confirm that my latest gen model does indeed decode and down mix...

Re: Dolby True HD Sound in Combination with WD Live TV
MakeMKV will allow you to create a MKV file with Dolby TrueHD audio if the original Blu-ray had Dolby TrueHD audio, just make sure to check the checkbox for the TrueHD track. The WDTV Live players do not decode Dolby TrueHD, they can only pass-thru the track to an audio receiver capable of decoding ...

Try replacing -sel:(core) with -sel:(havelossless)
I think that should give you the result you're looking for.

Re: TrueHD and HD Master audio advice
First of all, I really enjoy the software. So, what are people using to playback these MKV files to their receiver to capture the lossless audio? I'm using a Popcorn Hour C-200. I also have a WD TV Live SMP, but it's connected to a small TV in my workout room, so I don't mind that it only plays the...

Re: Makemkv not working after only 2 weeks
I thought it was supposed to work for free for dvds. So I still need a registration key to make it work for standard dvd? The DVD portion is supposed to be free for life. Are you running the latest version, 1.8.0? If not, that's probably what it means when I says it wants you to download. The Blu-r...

-sel:all,+sel:(favlang|nolang),-sel:(havemulti|havelossless),-sel:mvcvideo,=100:all,-10:favlang As long as you set the preferred language to English in preferences, that will select only the lossless audio in English along with all English subtitles. It does NOT select the 3D track. To get that you...

Re: File file of mkv files
I built my own NAS running unRAID. It allows you to mix-n-match drives of different sizes and manufacturers. It also allows you to expand your storage without completely recreating the array. It works good for storing movies since files are not striped across disks, so when you're streaming a movie ...

Re: What is the best media player for MKV and 3D rips?
I think most of these media players are somewhat buggy out of the gate; I'm pretty sure the Boxee Box was no different when it was first released and it sounds like you're still dealing with some bugs. The A-400 is getting regular firmware updates and I'm sure it will be fairly stable soon. BTW, it ...

Re: Use default selection rule from profile
Interesting, I'll give that a try.
I'm curious about that "+all" part, does that cause all tracks to be selected upon opening a disc? I'm thinking I'd want to change it to "-all" so that all tracks would be deselected and then I would only need to select the one main movie track.
