Re: Frozen not ripping
Hi I have fixed the problem on my old XP computer now. I took the side off and swopped the sata extension cable to a different molex connector, then tried again and this time it actually ripped it OK. I do have a SataHDD/SSD docking station but that is powered, I also have a USB3 powered 2.5 1TB HDD...

Re: Frozen not ripping
Thank you for reply but it is an LG Internal Blu-Ray optical drive which functions normally in everything else it does apart from MakeMKV. I have now managed conversion though with the updated 1.9.2 on my other computer, Windows 7 without any bother. Would like to know though how the optical drive c...

Frozen not ripping
I have just updated MakeMKV to the latest version but still can't rip my Frozen version to MKV, I don't know if it has anything to do with my LG Blu-Ray optical drive but here is the log I am getting. Can somebody please help. It gets right down to the last three minutes and then fails. MakeMKV v1.9...

Re: MakeMKV 1.8.9 Problem
Here is the difference between the two log files of 1.8.9 and 1.8.7. You can see where 1.8.9 version seems to get stuck on Title 56 and the next title is number 68 where 1.8.7 has no problem with same rip and goes straight to the next title and it is also much quicker to rip the film. MakeMKV v1.8.9...

Re: How to set subtitles off
Take the ticks out of the boxes where it says sub-titles, or leave them in and just use your controller to turn them of while viewing.

MakeMKV 1.8.9 Problem
I have just tried 1.8.9 version with no luck. It is exactly the same as the previous version where it fails to rip a DVD. It goes all through the motions and at the last minute it says failed, yet with version 1.8.7 it sails through and doesn't take that long. It is only the last two versions that a...

Re: MKV files sticking
I have found the answer to playing makeMKV files. I bought Sumvision cyclone Micro2+ which plays everything I have with excellent sound and vision. I wont bother with my LG Blu-Ray player anymore, only to play discs.

Re: MKV files sticking
Just copied my DVD of "Phantom Of The Opera" with the latest makeMKV 1.8.1 and watched it. It froze after the titles came up so I restarted it and expected it to do the same but it didn't, it played all the way through without another stop, so I was really chuffed. It is a classic film I w...

Re: MKV files sticking
OK thanks Mike will try 1.8.1 at the moment I have 1.8.0, then I will let you know if it plays OK once again on my LG Blu-Ray player. I really hope so.

Re: MKV files sticking
Can't really understand this cinavia watermark, but what I do know is when a film ripped with makeMKV file wont play in my LG Blu-Ray player, it does after I import into multiAVCHD and make a new MKV to the size I want, it does play. The quality is as good, but it is a lot more time consuming than j...

Re: MKV files sticking
Thank you for reply but how exactly do you know if it has that cinavia thing on the disc. It is only since updating the LG player, that my makeMKV files wont play anymore and I am sure not all my old disc's I have didn't have this on them. Like "Once Upon A Time In America" for instance. A...

Re: MKV files sticking
I am disappointed I didn't have any replies to my post. I wonder if anybody else has had this problem after the last update of makeMKV. It is such a good program, I want it to work like it did. Other than that I will have to get a new Blu-Ray player and never update it via the Internet again.

Re: Problems when converting mkv output
There are a couple of ways to convert MKV files to PAL movies. I use two different programs that are free, one is Freemake Video Converter, the other one, which for me is the better program is multiAVCHD. You can make perfect movies from the MKV files that you already play on your computer. There ar...

Re: 2 disk Movies
I had two disc's for "Once Upon A Time In America". I put them into makeMKV and made two separate files. Once I did that I edited out the interval it had and a few seconds of the changeover to the second disc. I then put them into multiAVCHD and joined them up into one MKV file of 9.74 GB,...
