Re: LG WH16NS60 with 1.00 firmware
I have the same drive with the same firmware from eBay very recently, though it looks like a different vendor. If you really do have the 1.00 firmware in it, then this drive and firmware works just fine in MakeMKV as it is. This is what MakeMKV sees on mine: Drive Information OS device name: D: Curr...

Re: PIONEER Blu-ray Drive BDR-S13UBK
There has been an announcement that Pioneer drives, even new (encrypted) firmware drives, will soon be flashable to make them LibreDrive compatible. That includes the S13UBK spoken of in this thread. (Yes, I know the above announcement was stickied in this forum, but I figured just in case the OP is...

MakeMKV ready WH16NS60 drives (original 1.00 firmware)
I just began using an LG WH16NS60 drive that I bought from e-Bay and discovered it has an original (unencrypted, unlocked) v1.00 LibreDrive-compatible firmware on it. It might not be a big deal nowadays, as it's not difficult to flash. But for those who want an LG UHD-official drive that doesn't hav...

Re: LibreDrive and revocation list update protection
Yes. And in order to put the drive in LibreDrive mode, you have to insert the disc which then automatically updates the MKB revocation list on the drive. Hmmm. I thought the drive was in LibreDrive mode the moment you ran MakeMKV and selected the drive - hence the "Status: Enabled" messag...

LibreDrive and revocation list update protection
As I understand it, LibreDrive mode, when it is engaged on a drive, prevents a drive from updating its revocation list when it encounters a later MKB version on a loaded disc. I have seen mention a couple times, though, that LibreDrive mode is only soft-loaded microcode that gets stored on the drive...

Is there a version of this database with information on the MKB version on each release?

Re: All Pioneer drives will be LibreDrive supported
Pioneer have destroyed their own market with their anti-LibreDrive firmware changes, so I doubt they've changed their minds now! Pioneer wasn't operating in a vacuum - the firmware change wasn't a decision that was wholly theirs. They need to license from the BDA, which has more members that are co...

Re: All Pioneer drives will be LibreDrive supported
I bought a Pioneer BDR-X13JBK just a few days before Pioneer's announcement. Which I'm glad I did, but at the time there were also X13J-X's available, but they are went to unobtanium overnight. I wish now I had spent the money. This announcement, timed with Pioneer's announcement of leaving the mark...

Re: HD-DVD Issue
I can't speak toward HD-DVD specifically as I've never used it, but this issue looks to me like the select track logic isn't working. You may need to switch to expert mode and change the track selection logic.

Re: Is it possible to retrieve an old license key?
You may be able to still recover it from paypro. Go to https://payproglobal.com/customer-support/ and click on the chat icon. Tell it you didn't get your product. It will ask for your email address. Enter it there. If it finds the payment for that address it may resend the key.

Re: Pioneer BDR-UD03 UHD possibility
I almost threw away a Verbatim drive with a faulty enclosure until I decided to open it and discovered it was a Pioneer UD03 inside. The manufacture date is 2011 on the sticker, but the firmware date is 2018. Drive information as follows: Drive Information OS device name: D: Current profile: BD-RE M...

New Drive Advice for UHD + Scanning
I am looking for a drive for UHD extraction and scanning. I currently have a Pioneer BDR-X13JBK for doing most of my quality burns with, and a crappy Matsushita UJ272 slimline for portable. All I need this drive for is UHD ripping and BDXL-capable scanning. It does need to be self contained, but fro...
