Re: Verbatim 43890 External Slimline Mobile USB 3.2 Blu-ray Writer UHD Problem
So it looks like I messed up. I sent back the Verbatim 43889 after reading on the manufacturers webstie that the 43888 is 4K capable out of the box and ordered that one instead. However, after receiving the new one today I can confirm that the internals has annoyingly changed from the Pioneer BU04 t...

Re: Multiple Mkv files for Plex
One other thing to note is Plex allows for local extras for movies. ( Local Files for Movie Trailers and Extras ) Lots of blu-rays contain Behind the Scenes, Making Of, or deleted scenes and such. You can put all of those into their own .mkv files and include them with the movie in Plex. Jellyfin m...

Re: Verbatim 43890 External Slimline Mobile USB 3.2 Blu-ray Writer UHD Problem
I have the Verbatim 43889 which I had hoped would read UHD disks out the box, but MakeMkv shows no disk. I thought I'd done my research on the best drives to get for UHD compatibilty with mkv conversion, but clearly not enough! smh Looks like its a Pioneer drive: Drive Information OS device name: F...

Re: Multiple Mkv files for Plex
OK, thank you for the response 👍BrettTheRipper wrote: ↑Fri Mar 28, 2025 12:11 amNo, Plex won't use the menu file at all, so you should just delete it. Plex looks at what's included in the container (MKV file in this case) to determine what audio tracks are available. In all likelihood, both audio tracks are included in the main feature's MKV file, in which case Plex will detect that and allow you to choose which one is used during playback.

Re: Pioneer BDR-UD03 UHD possibility
Hi, I'm new here and I've literally just received a Verbatim drive today with a view to setting up a home media server. The drive shows as a Pioneer BDR-UD03, same as the post above and won't read 4K bluerays when inserted. Is there a patch available for this please? Drive Information OS device nam...

Multiple Mkv files for Plex
Hi, I’m in the process of building a Proxmox server to run some sort of NAS and media server. For the latter I am undecided on Plex or Jellyfin, but I’m doing loads of research, watching YouTube , etc. to get my head around the different pros and cons. I’ve just ripped my first Blueray today and the...
