Have to dig up this old post, because I recently stumbled across this problem and haven't found a solution so far.

I too have these problems with various discs like Avatar ECE or Planet of the Apes: Prevolution, though using Win7 and an Oppo-93. I would welcome a fix or workaround.

Tried to do a full backup and I'm getting the following errors:

Tried the disc again, giving the same behavior as before and getting stuck. Original disc takes some time to load (which seems normal) but works as expected.

I've made a full backup of Avatar ECE disc 1 and when I play the bdmv folder on my bdp it gets stuck on the "your bluray player needs an update to play this movie"-screen, whereas the original disc works without a problem. Can this be a copy-protection problem? Or may it be related to BD+ ...
