Daft question but if I’m not currently ripping UHD discs, are there any advantages of a Libredrive over my current disc spinner?

Re: LibreDrives
I’m not ripping UHD at all and don’t plan to. I currently rip dvd and bluray and my software seems to bypass and region restrictions so I don’t think I need the functionality. Was just checking really.

LibreDrives
Am I right in thinking you don't actually need one of these if you're not planning on ripping 4k UHD discs?
I have a Pioneer drive that is region locked to region 2 for DVD but the software I use seems to bypass this anyway when ripping region 1 DVD and region A blu-rays to ISO format.
