Re: New activation code till end of March 2015 doesn't work
Same issue. Tried to open 1.9.0 MakeMKV this morning, and it told me the key had expired. Went ahead and downloaded the new version (1.9.1), then tried to register with the new beta key, and it told me that the software version was too old. I get stuck in an endless loop of trying to register, then ...

Re: Write error - help!
Most likely you will find that the point where the file stopped writing was when it reached 4GB. There are a lot of configurations where network drives will be treated as if they were formatted with FAT32, and are limited to 4GB, at which point the local operating system will simply refuse to write...

Write error - help!
Hi guys, getting this error when copying a blu-ray: Error 'Posix error - Input/output error' occurred while writing data to '/Volumes/wd3tb/The_Campaign_t00.mkv' at offset '66262215' I'm writing to a HDD that's shared on my home network. This is going from a mid-2011 MacBook Air to a 802.11n Time Ca...

Re: Add option to compress bluray PGS subtitles
I'd have to split them up into separate directories with maybe 10 or 12 movies each - we're talking about 2.5TB of movies on a drive with only about 400GB free, so I'd have to do them in small batches. OTOH, if WD would get off their ass and put support for uncompressed PGS subs in their next firmwa...

Re: Add option to compress bluray PGS subtitles
Agreed - it sure would be cool to see automatic zlib compression for PGS subs in the next MakeMKV version :) Just confirmed in my setup, too - re-muxing MKV's fixes the subs during playback on my WD TV Live (newest firmware). No subs before re-mux, then beautiful, wonderful, movie-changing subs afte...

Samsung BD-ROM maxes out at 2.2x
Hi guys, quick question here. I'm using a Samsung SE-406AB to rip blu-rays to a 2011 MacBook Air (the newest one). The ripping starts out immediately at 2.2x and sits there for the entire movie. 2.2x is better than nothing, but this drive is "supposed" to be capable of 6x. I know the max r...
