The drive is able to read normal Blu-Ray and 4K/UHD discs (e.g. listing contents) without issue.
MakeMKV is able to properly process normal Blu-Ray discs without issue.
All 4K/UHD discs that I have tried result in comparable failures, as described below.
I suspect the next step is drive flashing ...
