I am running Linux Mint 6.1.0-31 with MakeMKV 1.17.8 and also have this problem (ASUS BW-16D1XU) with an external Blu-Ray player on USB3. I have an internal DVD-RW (Samsung badged TSST-Corp CDDVDW SH-224FB) on SATA and I can rip DVDs just fine, but using the Blu-Ray player MakeMKV just sits there an...
