My "friendly" UHD drive is on FW 3.02, and it flies.......It's the version before ASUS put in the block........It's been a while since I ripped a disc, but I know it is fast.....

Re: Attention. Ver 2.1 protection out
I've never shared a video and never would. I haven't spent many thousands of dollars on a home entertainment system to jack content. In my case my physical UHD player has never been connected to a network nor will it be. Any firmware updates that are required are done offline. If they eventually re...

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS55
Ok, thanks for that......I used the Win PE link that Teddy provided.......I hope, as Mike said in a prior post, that an easier way to do this is coming......I do have a UHD-friendly drive already in my system, but added another Asus of the same model, but the firmware is 3.03.......

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS
Hi guys, I tried using Teddy's instructions, am having a bit of an issue.......I brought up the WinPE desktop, went to My Computer, saw my hard drives and my BD rom drives.......some of the drive letters were off, but I saw a drive marked X: for the USB drive......It was marked Boot......I opened it...
Re: Rampage
ok, thanks for the link.......I will continue to clean from hole to edge.....
Re: Rampage
Thanks for the response, yeah, I was told long ago, during the CD, HD-DVD and Bluray era to clean radially.......Ok, I'll see if the circular motion fares any better, thanks......
Re: Rampage
rivey, yes, I know the routine about cleaning.......I cleaned all three like mad, still got the errors....I clean all my discs before I rip also........that is why these discs puzzled me when they all stopped at around the same point on each disc.......That said, do you use a circular motion when cl...
Re: Rampage
thanks for the responses, I did manage to rip this(it is the US version).......It ripped right along, approx. 31 MB/sec, then hit the "bad spot" mentioned above......speed then dropped to less than 1 MB/sec, but the count kept going up, it didn't stop like before......after about 20 second...

Has anyone tried ripping this movie??? I am one my third one and I still get read errors.......I have the Asus UHD- friendly drive( BW-16D1HT), which this is the first time I've had this much difficulty ripping a title......On each disk(including this one), it rips fine until it gets to about 24,967...

Re: Transformers Age of Extinction
I installed the latest version of MakeMKV, ver. 1.8.14......I get a Fatal Error when I try to rip Transformers- Age of Extinction.......It gets past the decryption stage, but when it gets to the processing titles stage, it hangs and eventually I get a "Fatal Error-Program will now Exit" me...

Hey, thanks for that quick response.......I was using an automated script to compile the program......guess I'll try the manual way, unless that archive was created by the script.....
