Just received my second Pioneer BDR-X13E-S drive from Asmcom and his wonderful team. Very pleased with the entire process, ordered my third (and final, lol, before I file for bankruptcy

I have had problems with Criterion disks ripping:

The Tin Drum
Wild Strawberries
Weekend (JLG)
World on a wire
Brazil
Fat girl
etc,

But I was able to rip Eraserhead. Most likely you have bad discs. I had to repurchase the above, unfortunately, since the time to exchange them had long past.
