Re: Friendly+Official Drives, Enclosures, (UK Based, Worldwide Service) BU40N 2019 Model, Affordable Prices
Cannot heap enough praise on Asmcom. I've been monitoring the ability to extract 4K on and off for a while. I visited here on the 10th, saw that everything is now possible, fired a query to Asmcom, he replied the same day. I ordered the drive, it came immediately. I installed it and now I'm ripping....

Re: Pioneer releases UHD player for PC
This drive is worthless for most PC users. For UHD playback, you must have a Kabylake or newer processor, an Nvidia GTX 10xx series or newer card or a GPU that supports IDX extensions, an HDCP 2.2 compliant display device and the newest Power Dvd. Or, someone can eventually hack the AACS 2.0 and re...

Re: Mike - Time to register your company in the UK :)
It's quite amazing that legislation. It suggests to me that if a company puts protection in place that *prevents* you from copying their disc, you can actually complain!!!

Re: Missing Frames
957.333ms / 89.75 = 10.666662952646239554317548746518ms I'm assuming that's DTS. 957.333ms is less than 1 second and I really doubt it's anywhere you will notice it. Most likely it's somewhere that would only be silence anyway. So no, unless you play the movie and hear 1 second of abrupt silence in...

Missing Frames
Should I be concerned about this?
AV sync issue in stream 1 at 1:06:22.120 with duration of 957.333ms : audio gap - 89.75 missing frame(s)

Default setting is "none", which grabs everything.
If you enable "Expert mode", you can also set up a default selection rule in the Advanced tab that will appear.
Thanks

Subtitles
I have just rebuilt my PC and installed MKV.
Previously, only the English subtitles were selected. Now all of them are.
Is this just a setting I've missed somewhere? I've had a look through all the options but cannot find anything obvious.
TIA

(Primary Title)
Not so much an error but a question. Have a Bluray which has three versions of the main film. The first, which is at the very top, is 31.9GB and the other two are both 29.9GB (and have the same segment map) However what is of interest is that both the 2nd and 3rd entries have the words (Primary titl...

AnyDVD
Does MakeMKV play nicely with AnyDVD?
Having had a few troublesome DVD's that MakeMKV cannot handle, I'm wondering if it is worth my while purchasing AnyDVD to handle the encryption while then using MakeMKV to rip the tracks?
