I managed to restore an old Verbatim 71097 and get it working again, but am unable to see the full details like serial number and enable LibreDrive info to see if I can crossflash it to read UHD discs... am I doing something wrong? As I'm reading more on drives, I'm learning that drives automatically update when the owner pops in a new Blu ray disc? How would one prevent these updates from taking place?
