whats the build date on the drive December 2014 Yeah there is your issue they did not test that at all 2016 is safe cut off date would have never worked and can't be fixed without dosflash and ide mode. It's using the sata cables from the factory. This desktop shipped with a BD-RE drive (Dell Precision T1700).

eBay seller screwed up my Blu-ray drive

Hello everyone, I purchased a dell desktop on eBay (mistake #1) and it came with a LG BH16NS40 drive.....or so I thought. I took the drive out today and discovered that the real drive is an HP BD-RE BH40N. Sadly the seller updated the firmware to the 1.05 for the BH16NS40 and now the drive won't rea...
