Ahh gotcha
Thanks Marty. I'm starting to realize that makemkv is the tool that pulls the curtain back on what these drives are capable of
Thanks for the answer

Pioneer BDR-XS06 flashable?
Hey guys I'm super new here and to the world of DVD/Blu ray ripping.
I've ordered and received a verbatim 43890 to use which I still need to setup (still in the box)
My question is I noticed on my local buy and trade someone selling a BDR-XS06 pioneer drive.
It's a slim external drive and although I have searched Reddit and this forum I haven't been able to find a definitive answer if this drive would work.
The seller is asking $80 and is in great condition from what I can tell
Am I best to just stick with the verbatim (apparently pioneer drive)
Or would the BDR XS06 save me money and work as well?
I appreciate everyone's willingness to help all the noobs like myself here 😀

Re: New Account / Private Messages
Yeh
I actually looked at getting the slicing tools to do it myself but they are quite expensive for a DIYer.
Unless your doing it as a side hustle it's not worth it since I just needed one termination done.
Anyways back up and running finally.
Turns out the snow load down the road pulled the end of in the pedestal. So it was a quick fix once they figured that out.
For my drive too👍
Still in the box cause I've been alone with our kids this weekend who are both dealing with colds
Looking forward to trying to get things setup today. Still need to get software ect

Re: New Account / Private Messages
Figured I would also piggy back into this thread being a new member. Didn't see a new member section to just say hello. Came here for the unbelievable wealth of knowledge many of you being and share. Have already chatted via Reddit and email with Billy who helped me with getting my first drive order...
