I want to flash my pioneer 209DBK BLURAY DRIVE to read triple layer discs but in the comments I feel like they are bots asking me money by paypal (25 dollars) for a remote flasher without warranty and the truth that sounds weird, plus I do not like remote things and even the money for an unofficial ...

yes if you flash the BDR-209, it will become a BDR-S11 Drive.
my drive was a BDR-209, now its flashed to be a BDR-S11, and imgburn shows its capable of reading and writing BD-XL
i have the 209DBK, 209D and 209M.
all three are now flashed to be S11's.
imgburn reports all 3 are BD-XL capable now ...
