Right. My idea was to add a switch to suppress the error.
I was planning on using this in an open source program that I am writing.
Either one of these would be appreciated.

Re: mmdtsdec writing to standard output
While that's true, it is possible to break the standard a bit and write a zero for the size and use programs that will ignore it. If you are not interested in implementing this, I would appreciate it if you could give more details about the tcp-based protocol.

Re: mmdtsdec binary on 64-bit systems
I don't think that is possible as the dtsdecoderdll.dll file is a 32 bit binary. As a result, DTS-HD Decoding must be done in 32-bit mode.
However, it may be the case that installing 32 bit libraries fixes the problem.

mmdtsdec writing to standard output
Would it be possible to allow mmdtsdec to write to standard output instead of a file? Using the following command I was able to pipe the audio directly into flac. (Channel map is due to the input being a 7.1 file.) mmdtsdec -d dtsdecoderdll.dll dts_logo.dtshd /dev/stdout | flac --channel-map=none -8...

Re: Change MakeMKV aspect ratio when ripping?
It could, however, set the MKV crop metadata. Sadly most players don't support it and some will crop improperly.

Re: Monsters vs Aliens 3D
I just wanted to confirm that I am still having this problem with MakeMKV 1.7.7. I was able to use the backup to get a 2D mkv file, but I'd rather have a 3D copy if possible.

Re: Monsters vs Aliens 3D
OK, but should I attempt to rip the non movie track or just load the disc?

Re: Monsters vs Aliens 3D
The titles still have the same error message and only a non movie track is listed.

Monsters vs Aliens 3D
I tried to rip my copy of Monsters vs Aliens 3D (not the original exclusive, the one with TrueHD). I am having problems with it. I don't think it is a defective disc given the error messages. Any ideas?

Re: Sound on ripped MKV files just static and pops
I find that if I listen to DTS-HD MA tracks, my video player (on Linux) has the same issue. I convert the tracks to flac and they are just fine.

Re: 3D MVC Option
I tested it with 1.7.4 again, but it still seems to not be working. I don't know if it just isn't showing up in MediaInfo or it really isn't in the file.

Re: Endless Trial?
It doesn't really matter too much. Since it is in beta there is a free beta key. I and others here have purchased it anyway because we want to support the development of this program.
