Buying a permanent key will allow me to register (activate) MakeMKV on as many Linux Live sessions I shall use in the future :?:
That is , every time I start a session , MakeMKV will be installed ( eventually with newer realeses ) and I shall register with my permanent key .

I did have the sg module but it was not loaded .
As seen in other forum's posts solved the issue .
Now MakeMKV sees optical drives , even inside usb enclosure .
It's true that when starting the program there should be no disc in the optical drive .

It worked like a charm , even with the drive inside the OWC Mercury PRO usb enclosure , with Windows inside a Qemu VM .

Now UHD discs work .

I compiled and istalled both packages on my linux computer .
It works but , it can't see the optical drive . With or without a disk inside . Mounted or not .
It works fine using a ISO file .It sees and extracts the content .

As lately some of the new bought Pioneer drives have newer firmware , I was unsure if shall be lucky .
On the label of my drive the MFD date is 2024-03 :|
However , Makemkv says different :
