Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
avdvplus, with guaranteed FEL/BL sync and the LAV Filters audio correction options, is now the best CE build for the Ugoos. The next version also includes a fix for how L5 handles cropped content, which was previously processed incorrectly in A14. Wow, this is very surprising. I thought AM6B+ and C...

@RESET_9999 just wanting to check since you are the expert. Is this the right advice?coopzr wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 2:24 amIf using TV-LED (Your TV supports DV), use CPM A14. https://github.com/cpm-code/xbmc/releases. Nothing else beats this for TV-LED DV.
If using LLDV use avdvplus.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I finally got a Ugoos AM6B+ (yes, for christmas)! For clarity sake, is CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-21.3-Omega-Generic.img.gz still the version to get or is there a newer version available? I'm asking because the CoreElec website mentions a update, v22. If using TV-LED (Your TV supports DV), use CPM A14...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Quick checklist of things to remember/ignore: - Don't give a damn about what MediaInfo says about color primaries, luminance or MaxCLL/MaxFALL. - Rely on frame-by-frame comparison. - Rely on graphs. Situation for HDR10+ should be specular 1:1. Correct me if I'm wrong. Sounds about right. When I sta...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
The release of the recent dim movies (F1, Jurassic World Rebirth, and Superman) got me thinking... Is there any brightness (or lack of) where it would be better to watch the SDR release instead? As my TV is not professionally calibrated, I think it's still better to go HDR in my situation, as I know...

Is ugoos still the only device to support Positive Lift(L2/L8 offset) and Level 5 Active area in TV-LED?RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 26, 2025 5:46 pmGet the ugoos, all the other devices drop frames with FEL playback. Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
sorry, i saw it now. is it also necessary for my G4? Most likely. Although no one has measured the G4, it appears to affect all LG TVs. You can test it yourself - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15i0a84uiBtWiHZ5CXZZ7wygLFXwYOd84/htmlview#gid=1289366200 Just follow the instructions on the rig...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Because the 100-nit trim is delivered for the SDR Blu-ray release. Makes sense. Do you mind explaining what saturation and hue fields are and how they work? I don't recall you talking about them in your explanation videos. The only thing I know is that they have something to do with colors... and t...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@RESET_9999 In the case of How to Train Your Dragon (2025), why would the artist put all that effort into a detailed 100nit trim, only to cancel it at 300nits? Feels like a waste of time and effort. Also, how do the saturation and hue fields work? Are they applied regardless of TV capabilities, or d...

The Amateur 2025 appears to be static DV with no dynamic trims.
Would you recommend generating DV? Why/Why not?

Someone is for sure going to reverse engineer the Kaleidescape and upload the entire catalogue to piracy sites. Almost guaranteed in my opinion.
p.s. I do not endorse piracy.

@RESET9999
Can you please explain how FEL interacts with generated DV?
I assume that if you generate your own DV the FEL gets discarded. However, some of your RPU releases say "movie name P7 FEL Only Generated T3 OSC" and now has me second guessing on how it works.

FYI, I did new and better test file for L1 Is it these files last modified 8th May 2025? So I'm no longer watching 2.9 retail movies. CMv4.0 for everything! I've only just started avoiding cmv2.9 with a 4000 nits MDL due to the broken behaviour on my LG C4. Are you saying there is more broken behav...
