I run MX Linux but yes it appears in filemanager and i can see the files but they are locked. I can install windows 10 or 11 if you want to test there? and yes PM is good i think. I have never tried this. This is my first time on this forum and I have never done PM. maybe it is better to do anydesk ...

I have a ASUS BW-16D1X-U but it only hangs when i try both DVD and Bluray in MakeMKV but i plays back normally in media player.

The first time i started it hung on downloading sdf for about 15 minutes so I tried to download it and place it in the .MakeMKV folder but still it is hanging ...
