So for Death Note i figured out a work around, i hope it can help somebody else seems you can extract the episodes by loading the playlists at BDMV/PLAYLIST into MKVToolNix after making a backup without the encryption, the seem to be 00005.mpls - 000011.mpls on each disc are the episodes, MKVToolNix...

Just checked the eBay page and the dates changed again. It says they're away until the 16th February 2025. Not sure if its Ascom settings that it's just automatically updating.

i haven't tried it myself but there is a section for enabling the decryption engine in vlc, int the preferences -> integration settings menu
