It's not a mkv issue it's a drive thing

I got a Pioneer BDR-XD07J that capped out at 2x read rate when ripping a bluray on MakeMKV, I downloaded software that let me change it from "quiet" to "performance" but it didnt change the read rate. I returned it and bought an LG WH16NS60 and the seller even confirmed to me tha...

Are there any tips/tricks to getting the Pioneer drives to fit in the OWC Mercury Pro case? Do you just have to drill new holes?

Is there any benefit to the optical drives in the enclosures vs one of the slim portable ones? I just need to transfer my bluray collection and wondering if its worth spending extra for the big ones or what the benefit is, but 300-400 usd is quite expensive..
