Ok, I need to make a correction.
It looks like the hangs are temporary. If I let it run long enough, it seems to eventually finish. It is a bit annoying because it takes a lot longer than it should.

I have done a backup of a bunch of discs to my NAS. My intention was to rip titles from these backups. Sometimes I am able to. But a lot of the time, the tool hangs. I get messages saying that reads are faster that writes. I'm not surprised since my NAS is basically using RAID5 (a synology variation...

Is there a way to report bugs? Does the developer read this forum?
I've had makemkv hang a few times. And, the online help and FAQ links on the website are broken.

Yeah, that's what I do. It would be nice for the tool to do the backup, then use the backed up data to rip selected titles. Right now I need to wait for the backup to finish before I can kick off the ripping.

I tried this again and I was able to make a backup. The only thing that's changed is that I found a shorter USB cable so I'm using it now. I have seen other posts about issues with longer and/or lower quality cables, but I'd be shocked if that was my problem.
