ok, so basically no new drives will recognise or play 4k UHD even though they are described as doing so?

Is it possible to drop the firmware or flash it to a lower version so that it does read it?

Hi, sorry to jump on the back of this thread but I am also having issues with my drive even seeing a 4k Ultra UHD disc. This is with the latest download of MakeMKV and others.

I can only see the model as "212-M" and can't see anything more detailed (unless of course I take the drive out of the case ...
