Re: LPCM and MKV

the problem I'm having with both LPCM and FLAC is the channel mapping.

MKV for some reason moves the two side channels to the rear, which doesn't sound great in a 7.1 system. It'd be nice to see a fix for this, along with the option to convert lossless audio to FLAC.

Re: Bad Picture Quality with version 1.6.15

Hi Icetrips, The short and quick answer is no, I don't stream via DLNA. However, I did finally discover the issue and fixed it. My first reaction was to look at software, and it turns out I was right. Only, the problem was in the last place I thought to find it. Even after replacing the drive and ca...

Re: Bad Picture Quality with version 1.6.15

For those three discs, AnyDVD was not running/disabled. Those are straight rips with MakeMKV.

I'm going to switch cables next and verify the program is completely off. It's so frustrating trying to figure what went wrong in the chain. :x

Thanks for the suggestion, setarip_old.

Bad Picture Quality with version 1.6.15

Would really like some helpful suggestions for correcting this strange anomaly. At first, I thought it was a minor glitch because it only happened sporadically, but recently (in the last few days) this has been occurring every time I try to make an MKV. The following pics show what I'm talking about...

Re: Star Wars Subtitles - english

Never mind. Went ahead and did it the time-consuming way to burn the subtitles into the picture frame by demuxing the different streams, then through mkvmerge and finally handbrake.

It all works perfectly now. Wondering if I should do the same with the other discs just to be on the safe side.

Re: Star Wars Subtitles - english

I'm still not having any luck with Return of the Jedi. :(
I ripped with all English subtitles marked, and still nothing. I checked with LAV, and it recognizes the subtitle streams are there but won't play a single of them, even after switching between them individually.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Re: New BD+ - X-men 1st class, StarWars saga set

^^ The same still goes for X-Men: FC.

jones,

I check-marked the first selection of forced subtitles and unmarked all the rest. So far, it's worked though I've only watched Phantom Menace and still need to finish ripping Episodes V and VI.

Re: New BD+ - X-men 1st class, StarWars saga set

Great work, guys! Ripping SW without any issue.

X-Men: FC however, still have the same problem with the subtitles -- none pop up when they're supposed to. Any suggestions?

Re: New BD+ - X-men 1st class, StarWars saga set

Well, I tried, but not 100% successful. I've only tried on X-Men: FC, not holding out on SW until I can figure a workaround with the first problem. AnyDVD running in the background for decryption and then standard MakeMKV procedures. Ripped normally and works fine, except subtitles don't appear on s...
