Re: There seems to be no solution to my issue and it's driving me crazy
sure somebody else will chip in. But on the basis that it worked before and now doesn't. Is failing where before it succeeded. Then surely, it's hardware? I don't know how long these drives last but if you take one apart they are not exactly robust!! I had a similar issue and after accepting I neede...

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS
Hi guys, Thanks a ton for the info. I just finished flashing my Asus BW-16D1HT drive that I got this week from Amazon. It had a February 2018 manufacture date with firmware 3.02 but wouldn't recognize any UHD BDs. Now it is able to read the UHD BDs and I'm using MakeMKV to make a test MKV of my Sta...

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS
Hi guys, here is my own guide to successfully dump and downgrade firmware on any "UHD Friendly" devices, such as Asus BC-12D2HT / BW-16D1HT or LG BH16NS40/NS55 (WH16NS40/NS55) (SVC Code NS50) and similar drives having MediaTek chipset inside them. ......................... Thanks a ton fo...

Re: No beta-key for June -2016
You know what? I reckon MKV may have simply capitulated to the latest round of "piracy" protection..
I've just looked at what I've done with MKV whilst NOT buying the software. Felt rather guilty and just bought it. It may never work again but fairs fair.

I guess it's not on the cards then?? Just looking at the latest posts its a recurring problem for numpties like me??
Could you not simply do a plug in? (see another numpty statement ... ) for those that want it?
Incidentally nobody answered as to why MKV is still in Beta

Re: PGS Subtitles... yes again!!
From a "non-purest" standpoint, I have viewers that have no problem with the PGS subtitles in MKV files. Where it is a problem is when I want to use a format (like MP4) with tools that don't support them. Getting the tools to support the conversion is, to me, a more important priority tha...

PGS Subtitles... yes again!!
I have seen the arguments for and against incorporating some type of PGS conversion into MKV programs and understand the purist view - to a point! But I am just a simple Joe who does not have the time to strip out, convert and remux... in fact I am the sort of person MakeMKV is aimed at! :) I wonder...
