I think this model should support UHD disc. It was manufactured in late 2019.

I got a new BP55EB40 with SVC code EB52. It was manufactured on Sep 2024 with original firmware ver 1.03.
First, I flashed it to HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP55EB40-NB50-1.03 with the SDFtool introduced in viewtopic.php?f=16&t=19634 , the driver is libra enabled but still could not read UHD disc.

The Flashing Guide says:

Did you checked the box with "enc"?

I don't think that this drive can be flashed to be UHD compatible.
