Re: Pioneer 212V No Longer Recognized

Ok... wow. I just found this tip and it worked: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/u595zl/unknown_usb_device_device_descriptor_request/ I'm not sure what it is actually doing, but it got me back up and running immediately. So, if you are getting this error "Unknown USB Device (Device De...

Pioneer 212V No Longer Recognized

I've had what seems to be a popular combo of a Pioneer 212V with a Vantec enclosure for just over a month. The drive is suddenly not recognized by Windows (even after restarting the drive and Windows). My question is 1) Has anyone had a similar experience with this hardware? 2) Is this more likely t...

... like variations in decoding, etc (I don't know what... ... to improve .mkv playback. This is obvious... you're using madVR. madVR applies filters to files like "movie.mkv", in fact I don't think you can stop madVR from doing this, which means you might be experiencing crappy graphing ...

Re: .mkv Remux vs. BluRay Playback

It's literally a bit-by-bit direct copy. There is no difference between what is on disc and the MKV file. Right... I admit that in my original post... and I have seen your exact reply many times... however, I'm asking about things like variations in decoding, etc (I don't know what... that's the re...

.mkv Remux vs. BluRay Playback

I have finally set up a liberated bluray drive (thanks, BillyCar) and have been comparing a couple discs to .mkv remuxes. I understand that the remux is the image of the disc, but I'm noticing that the discs for the same films look slightly better, more crisp when played from the disc in the drive.....

Oh ok... is that the remote flashing service that you have listed for $25? How does that work?

Re: Recommendation for best (most reliable and versatile) LibreDrive for 2024?

Hey guys... I've been looking over some of these threads, but I'm a bit overwhelmed and can't really decide what drive I should buy. I'm in the US and will buy it from Amazon. I need an external drive because my computer case is more recent and it has no drive bays. I want to have access to bluray D...
