Most of them are just players w/o a disc drive but there is also the newest one with a disc drive. The players w/o drive just do their job from playing via USB. Yes, but he has the Oppo alr...

So you created an .mkv file from the movie and that's the result? For the whole file or just parts? And is that only with that disc or with every disc?
Something is definitely wrong, I don't think I've encountered that myself.

Hey sidetracked, meant to answer for a while, but with moving and all I didn't get to. In any case, you and I have the same equipment, the Oppo and Macs, and I also had nearly all of their players at one point in time. The Oppo 20x are fantastic devices and you don't necessarily need to look for oth...

Awesome, thanks for the quick help, much appreciated! Now I have to dig out my Pioneer BDR-208, as I think one of my LGs is dying.

Re: What drive for 3D Blue-Ray?

You don't need anything special if you're already equipped to work with non-3D Blu-Rays, it's just another video stream that will be extracted into the output file or folder.

Re: CDs wont rip

Of course, Exact Audio Copy doesn't exist for macOS. However, dBpoweramp does and contains the AccurateRip feature that is also used in Exact Audio Copy. I've personally been using it for years to rip all my CDs and can recommend it. It's not a free app, however.

Re: Feature Request: Eject button

You can have an eject button in the menu bar when you turn on "Show eject in menu bar" in System Settings -> CDs & DVDs. That allows you open and close any attached optical drive.
