Re: Hey Mike, I purchased your product, would really love to receive your product.
It's generally not expected in the industry that you have to wait for an undisclosed number of days before receiving digital products, regardless of how you personally feel about it. This product has existed for more than enough time for the author to find ways to make himself not a critical compon...

Re: Does the flashing of UHD drives interfere with other ripping software?
As said above, no. However, why would you use WinX to rip DVDs? MakeMKV is fully capable of ripping DVDs & Blurays. You have no need of WinX to rip your DVDs if you are using MakeMKV to rip any discs. You would need other software only if you want to transcode or otherwise alter any resulting MK...

Re: How long does a key take to be issued?
I am yet to buy a key myself, was actually trying to which led me here today because it is not presently possible to buy keys. Point there is I cannot say how long it usually takes with certainty, but from what I read of other posts in the past it was very quick. Problem presently is it seems the pa...

Re: Help with ripping script for 4x Blu-ray drives
There are some functions in here I am not familiar with, so I would need to do some research & testing to determine 100% if this would function. It overall looks good with 1 exception which is definitely incorrect, and the few things I am not sure of. However, I think it would not hurt to run as...

Re: Hey Mike, I purchased your product, would really love to receive your product.
Seriously people, stop being so self-important. The world does not revolve around you & your desires or impatience. You bought a key and didn't get it immediately? And are not being responded to in the time-frame you want? As others said, MakeMKV is a 1-man operation, which he was not obligated ...

Re: mkvtoolnix help
Logically, you should probably find the MKVToolNix forum to ask for help with MKVToolNix... That said, I tested splitting a large video I have with many chapters but my results were what they should be. Merely the 2nd time I did that, but I checked the resulting split files and they show correct tim...

Re: Is it possible to automatically eliminate redundant forced subtitle tracks?
If you just want to toggle default streams, mkvpropedit is the way to go, especially when filesizes become large since the operation takes ~0.5 seconds (although there is a deeper/longer scan for malformed .mkv's, but that's out of scope here). You know, I think I found mkvpropedit years ago but co...

..., perhaps you are correct and I am somehow stupid. Seems possible, yes. I do not claim to be perfect, but I proved it was not me committing a mistake before you bothered responding. Which makes your exact choice of response here intentionally rude & insulting, especially considering you also...

Re: Version too old but is latest
No bug. Sure, you really downloaded v1.17.8? In my Ghostery the dowload failed. So I temporarly installed Firefox (v132.0.1), did NOT import anything, initialized the downloaded makeMKV WITH THIS BRANDNEW FIREFOX -> worked. Then installed the new MakeMKV. PS: Control the available disk-space, also....

Re: destination directory - custom option broken?
1st, what OS & which version of MakeMKV are you using? I tested this on Win10 using MakeMKV 1.17.8 (the newest version). It functioned *exactly* as described in the post you linked. The 2 possibilities I can think of presently are: 1- You are using a different version of MakeMKV or on a differen...

Re: Help with Phantom Menace
1st, you repeatedly say 6.1 or "DTS-HD MA 6.1". Are you certain you mean 6.1, not 7.1? I ask because all I ever saw or heard of or read of was either 5.1 or 7.1, not 6.1. If it is 6.1... That would be the 1st occurrence I ever saw/heard of it, so would be very unusual in itself and could b...

Re: MakeMKV v1.17.8 ripping very slow with HDD based mkv's
You are using MakeMKV to rip an MKV to an MKV? Are you doing this to alter the contents? Remove audio or subtitle streams? I never tried using MakeMKV to rip an MKV to an MKV so never experienced your issue. While I cannot presently use MakeMKV until my issue is solved, I can possibly test after my ...

Re: Is it possible to automatically eliminate redundant forced subtitle tracks?
There are 2 different types of subtitles people commonly call "forced", so clarification would help. 1- Subtitles which are displayed only to translate otherwise untranslated dialogue or on-screen text. I would prefer a better term than forced, but this is what "forced subtitles"...

Re: Multiple identical copies of same discs failing in exact same spot
Now this I definitely cannot claim to be all-knowing in or even an expert, so take this as speculation. You mentioned buying them on eBay, AND being sent replacements for the problem discs. Are you certain they are legitimate, official discs and not bad bootlegs? Reasoning: If they were official rel...
