Re: The Internship - Odd error
Considering it would be your fourth disc replacement if you did so, I would tend to agree. If there were others reporting the same error after the updated SVQ I would suggest you wait but the updated file resolved my issues, and I haven't seen any other posts of the same. You could always ensure who...

Re: The Internship - Odd error
Same error on same MTS when copying the files in the OS rather than in MakeMKV after cleaning the drive?

Re: The Internship - Odd error
You might try and find out if the drive has any updates available. I've had a few dives in the past that a flash to the rom would resolve. I'm fortunate in that the BD-Rom I bought is similar to a laptop drive where the heads are exposed when the tray is ejected and easily cleaned (but also prone to...

Re: The Internship - Odd error
Well, you've eliminated the ripping software as a possible cause. A couple of things to verify before you buy a new drive. Some disks also have defects purposely placed into the disc. These 'dummy' tracks are not read by your player, and are there to mess with you as part of some copy-protection sch...

Re: The Internship - Odd error
I take it simply copying the contents to the hard drive failed as well? If so, it's your drive. You could try cleaning the heads. You can get a head cleaner from various electronics stores.

Re: The Internship - Odd error
Unlikely. You might try copying the entire contents of the BD to your hard drive and then opening it with make MKV from there ( Command + O ).
That will eliminate your drive and the media as a potential issue.

Re: Blade Runner won't convert.
You might think that, but it's not a correct assumption. Just because you can play a streaming clip in a dvd player (software or hardware) doesn't mean it can be ripped properly. Ripping doesn't forgive any errors, where playback does. Playback makes a best guess, and if it hits a bad spot, it will ...

Re: The Internship - Odd error
Thanks for confirming. I was expecting the error to show in the log, but it didn't. I wish I had snagged a screenshot of it now.

The Internship - Odd error
Processing BD+ code using generic SVQ from builtin/00000.svq It reported an odd error that doesn't show up in the MakeMKV console. Something about errors encountered, and using the generic SVQ, and then it said that the rip may contain errors. It seemed to complete as expected, but the ripped file h...

The extended edition appears to be 838.mpls. It's the only one I see with a time stamp of 2:04:48.

Re: Jack the Giant Slayer crash?
Apparently it's a Mavericks issue. Although I did a few reboots and saw the same result, powering down completely, and powering back on resolved it and it ripped successfully.
I did disable the App Nap feature for MakeMKV though, which may have also resolved it.

Jack the Giant Slayer crash?
I've ripped a few BD's without issue on Mavericks, but keep in mind I'm using a beta OS.
That said, is anyone else experiencing a crash when trying to rip Jack the Giant Slayer?
