Re: Blu Ray subtitles handbrake
When I use media inspector on movies where I only selected the forced subtitles I do not see any subtitle streams, yet on movies where I selected both I see the stream. I have so many movies saved where I only selected forced subtitles in makemkv. Will I just have to run all of these movies through ...

Blu Ray subtitles handbrake
Hi guys, I recently downloaded the nightly build of handbrake in order to be able to include subtitles in my blu ray conversions. Before using handbrake, I use MakeMKV to create an mkv file of a blu ray disk. When I create the mkv file I select only the forced subtitle and I do not check the main su...

Multiple Instances

I recently started to notice that my 8x external blu ray drive is quite slow, so I decided I would look into a faster internal drive for my mac pro. I was wondering if I can run multiple instances of MakeMKV on the Mac, s...

Re: BDR-205 Slow
Based on what I have read this is a common issue with MakeMKV. No, this is a common issue with drive manufacturers lying about their rated speeds. Just because under perfect conditions your drive can reach x8, doesn't mean it's going to across the whole disc. I am planning on buying a new internal ...

BDR-205 Slow
Hey guys, I have been using MakeMKV for a few years with my Pioneer BDR-205 drive, in an enclosure from OWC. I connect it via firewire 800, which should be plenty fast (800 mb/s), yet I average about 2.5-3x per blu ray rip. The drive should be reading at at least 8x, but I only get about 2.5x. I hav...
