What did you clean the disc with? dish soap never works for me I suppose it depends what dish soap you have. What works for me is glasses cleaner

Shame sounds like a defective disc then, as it's just one disc I would keep on cleaning it to see if it it will just about manage the rip. it's frustrating when it happens so far I have managed to get my discs ripped by cleaning and cleaning. Do a search for Revo Uninstaller in Google, that software will get rid of all of the extra files so when you install MakeMKV again it will be a fresh install. It's your choice what cleaner to use but soap never works for me, you can use what you used to clean the laser just use a clean microfiber cloth.

You need to clean the disc that's the first thing to try, doesn't matter if it's new or if it plays in VLC.
