Re: to the 3D-addicts: how do you playback your 3D-backups? Device, software?

The Dune will be returned. CoreElec doesn't work as hoped and stated on the CoreElec homepage. 3D playback either stutters or crashes. Or both altogether. Also 2D playback stutters with CoreElec although 2D works fine in the Dune's original software. So IMHO the Dune is fine if you want to use its d...

Re: Write to fast drive and then move to slow drive?

yeah, sure.
If you want a full backup plus a *.mkv version of your BluRays then first backing up to a SSD or fast HDD and then ripping from that backup to a SSD or HDD is of course the fastest way.

Re: Write to fast drive and then move to slow drive?

The limiting factor is the speed of your optical drives. They are waaay slower than any modern HDD. So yes, ripping directly to HDD will save you time At the moment i'm in the process of backing up all my BluRays. I have two optical drives ripping directly to an external 18TB HDD. The HDD doesn't ev...

Re: to the 3D-addicts: how do you playback your 3D-backups? Device, software?

Thanks for your replies. i'm aware that ripping to mkv will make me lose the option of treating the backups like a regular physical disk. That's why i do full backups of my BluRay disks. Although i know that i'm "wasting" approximately 1/5 of my backup mediums' disk spaces. But i'm kinda o...

extract main title from full backup?

Ok, so now i've got a full backup of a 3D-blurays. It is not an ISO but a backup just as it is created by makemkv. How should i proceed if i wanted to rip just the main title with some additional language audio and subtitles from that backup? I thought i simply could load that backup into makemkv an...

Error "File "/PS3_DISC.SFB" was skipped": i have no idea what to do with this error message

Hi everyone,
i just got that error message while backing up Venom 3D.
Can anyone be so kind to explain what's that all about?
I think it has something to do with the Playstation PS3 but i have no idea what exactly and if i can safely ignore this error.

to the 3D-addicts: how do you playback your 3D-backups? Device, software?

Hello fellow 3D-enthusiasts, right now i'm in the process of backing up (full backups with MakeMKV) my 3D-Blurays. So that i can watch them from USB-drive on my 3D-projector or 3D-TV Now i'm wondering what alternatives there are for playing back the movies in 3D in original 3D-format = frame packing...

Re: A bit confused: "Backup done" but with loads of errors. Files still playing in VLC

no, only the LiteOn iHOS104 the Aladdin BluRay wasn't the only disk that produced that error yesterday. Geostorm 3D had similiar issues while other BluRays copied with no error message. But this is strange: today i gave it another try. First with Geostorm, which finished without any error. Right now...
