Ok, I'm going to dig up this old thread...
Very glad to hear that this feature is in the plans, and since the last post was from over a year ago, I just thought I'd ask whether we're any closer to seeing this implemented.
Thanks!!

Re: Thanks
How were you able to get to beta testing? Is there a way to join on it? @celavey - Anyone can join the beta and use/test the product. Just download it from here: http://www.makemkv.com/download/ And if it asks you for a key after you install it and go to run it, just use the key here: http://www.ma...

Re: LPCM issue
Exactly. I guess the issue has something to do with the channels (5.1, 7.1) in the LPCM track. Different players interpret them differently and things get all goofed up then. Not like DTS-HD or TrueHD where there are definite specifications so there is no confusion among devices that play those form...

Re: LPCM issue
I keep complaining about this issue...but I guess there will soon be a fix for it. For now, you must convert the LPCM audio to FLAC and remux it back into the MKV file. The conversion from LPCM to FLAC is lossless, so there will be no loss in sound quality. Going the Dolby Digital route you suggeste...

Re: Many duplicate titles on blu ray disc
Awesome, thanks!!
01753.MPLS was the first one in the list, so that was the one I would've picked, had I had to guess myself.
May I ask how you knew that one was the one I should choose? Do you have this disc?
Thanks again for the quick response!![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Many duplicate titles on blu ray disc
I've seen threads with similar questions as mine, but never quite exactly the same. I have the blu ray "Bandslam" that I am trying to convert to MKV. I ordered it from Italy because apparently there was never a United States release of the blu ray - only the DVD. So this is a Region B blu ...

Re: mkv transfare
If you want to use a 3TB hard drive inside the PCH, check their compatibility list first to make sure the exact model of hard drive you want to use INSIDE the PCH is known to be compatible: http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/index.php/A-300_Compatibility_Lists You should have no problem attachin...

Re: mkv transfare
Just take everything off of your external drive, format it to NTFS, and put your videos, etc. back on it. I own the PCH C-200 and I connect NTFS formatted hard drives to it via USB to play my media all the time. As stated, the size limit is a limit of the FAT32 format, which must be what your hard d...

Re: Error checking
Great, thanks Mike!
So if I were really paranoid about quality (I am
) would it be wise for me to always do the full disc backup first to have that verification done and then convert that backup to MKV? Or is that a bad idea for some reason or just a complete waste of time?

Error checking
Hi all, I just have a quick question about MakeMKV and error checking. Some of my DVDs and even blu rays are in relatively tough shape because others didn't take care of them as well as I do. So I am getting everything converted to MKV. Does MakeMKV have any sort of error checking that it does? Both...

Re: LPCM and MKV
the problem I'm having with both LPCM and FLAC is the channel mapping. MKV for some reason moves the two side channels to the rear, which doesn't sound great in a 7.1 system. It'd be nice to see a fix for this, along with the option to convert lossless audio to FLAC. What program are you using to c...

Re: LPCM and MKV
Yes, I was talking about the LPCM to FLAC conversion. MakeMKV handles putting LPCM in the MKV container just fine, but unfortunately very few players can actually play LPCM in an MKV file, hence the need for conversion to a more suitable format. I guess I didn't realize that the developers were work...
