Re: Super slooooooooooowwwww site
Ooooo... an artificial intelligence engine for ripping disks? Interesting thought... Although, it would primarily be learning how to ask questions about disks that don't read properly, rather than how to get around that.

The image link requires you to log in with a GOOGLE account to view the image, so only people with such accounts have a chance of seeing it.

"Popping the seal" does not mean "flawless". It just means you're the first person to attempt to read the disk. If the disk is actually from 2013, it's had 11 years to get in-package chemicals accumulating on the surface.
Try cleaning the disk with a soft, damp cloth.

Re: Super slooooooooooowwwww site
Unfortunately, it depends on what "the other guys" are doing. It's possible that 700-900 "people" are simply reading EVERYTHING, one message at a time, indexing things, but the legitimate search engines are NOT doing that. I'm guessing some sort of attack is going on, but it isn'...

Knowing what the output of your update program was would be helpful. You haven't said what you were using to update.

Because transactions are private; this site isn't just one vendor selling stuff, and the vendors don't own the forum.
They would have different requirements if they did, but that's something else.

Attachments are currently broken. You can include a significant portion of the log in a message, though.
AACS version has characteristics. Reading the log where it failed (rather than one where it worked) will tell us more.

Including the name of the file would help with knowing which versions have been submitted. Each unique version has a different file name, with the last 4 characters being significant.

Re: Can rewritable DVD's have copy-protection?
Curious - what makes a "DVD-R" "RE-writable"? It's officially "DVD-Recordable", so it doesn't have a re-writable quality. It is entirely possible to put copy protection on them, just not the type where a disk is manufactured with purpose-generated bad sectors, like was ...

Check your passwords!
In the last month, I have identified a number of old accounts that have suddenly appeared as spammers. One today was from 2020, and it was removed/banned. If you have a "simple password", or one that you use on multiple accounts around the web, I suggest you re-assess your usage, to avoid ...

Re: Questions on Forced Subtitles
Forced subtitles are usually handled two ways: Separate track (most often). Main subtitle track, with FORCED flag set (not very often, but Avatar uses it, amongst others). Star Trek movies use... different means. Klingon audio is often simply inserted in the video, and "subtitles" appear w...
