Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2026
Hi guys,
Just bought an OWC Mercury Pro and according to this it needs modification to work? Also is it compatible with a Pioneer 211M 1.54 firmware? Thanks
The OWC chassis doesn't care about the drive Mfg or firmware.
The "modification" is mechanical. When you put the longer (Pioneer ...

Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
Hi,
Today for the first time I started experimenting ripping 4k UHD disc. As most of my collection has always been regular 1080 blurays I finally got around to it. Anyhow first drive I tested out was the Pioneer BDR-S13U (according to firmware) that billy sold me working well at 3.8x speeds, then I ...

Re: LG WH16NS40 with drive platform MT1939
Was wondering if the WH16NS40 MT1939 can be cross flashed at all? Not interested in UHD. Just improved DVD reading and riplock handling..
Thank you

Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
All non-UHD drives flashed for UHD might say that they are BEE enabled but they "lie". The chip to do so is missing.
This 211 should be used internally. If you want to rule out the root cause you should get a Benfei USB -> SATA adapter like this. If it works with that your enclosures don't ...

Any way to deselect multiple entries in Makemkv?
Hi,
Was wondering if there is a hot key that will mass deselect all checked items from the makemkv selection menu when it decrypts a disc? If there was a way it would speed up choosing what you want and dont want. Maybe there is a way?
Thanks

Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
Hi,
Been a while. Getting back into my old hobbies again. Wondering if there has been any improvements or headway in rolling back the BDR-211M from 1.54 firmware version? Just curious. Currently have two Libredrive capable bluray drives so don't really need it anymore but just curious ...

How to benchmark drive speed?
Hi,
Have a few Bluray drives and want to benchmark them to see which is the fastest and was wondering how I do that?
Also does a Usb 2.0 vs 3.0 enclosure make a difference?
Thank you

How to do concurrent operations at same time?
Hi,
So basically I was wondering if its possible to run multiple instances (like 2-3) of Makemkv and access more than one drive at a time without interfering with another instance or drive? The problem is if you load another instance of Makemkv it will interfere with to process going on the first ...

Re: Scored a cheap Libredrive capable Pioneer drive on Amazon
Just wanted to confirm for anyone else eyeing this drive that it does seem to be ripping an UHD bluray at 4X taking 1.5 hours though but without needing firmware modification or anything of the 1.02 ver rom that it came with. Cool.
Not bad for used.

Scored a cheap Libredrive capable Pioneer drive on Amazon
Wanted a new BDR-211M drive to replace my old BDR-211M that I had accidentally flashed to latest rom version loosing Libredrive and UHD support.
So I found these guys on Amazon that call themselves the 'Produplicators' that were selling used BDR-211M Pioneer drives and decided to take a chance
