Got another crazy idea for attempting a roll back. For this need 2nd drive with old firmware. Connect to pc via usb adapter and run installer where it will verify drive firmware version, put computer to sleep and swap drives and when machine wakes up attempt flash. Probably wont work but worth a try...

I'm not sure. I've flashed motherboard bios chips before but nothing like this.

What about using a usb firmware flasher. There must be a rom chip you can clamp.

Sorry to ask again but was just wondering considering the firmware is encrypted is it possible to edit the binary of an older firmware and change the version info on it to fool the updater that its a newer firmware?
