Coming back to say, I think this drive is officially cooked and that I just got lucky with my last couple rips. It won't read anything now, DVDs, Bluray, UHD, nothing. When I inserted the disc, it sorta ran and made a click sound a couple of times, before displaying that no disc present. I know this is waaay old but I was wondering if you ever found any solution.
