Yes, I have some of the ones you listed. They play fine in VLC.

Re: Is there a reason some 4Ks don't load menus on VLC?
Yeah, I don't have that movie, "Little Women" to test it on mines. But, I did have 4K blurays that wouldn't load menus in VLC that now work flawlessly after clean installing my Windows PC. Also, I don't use MPC so can't comment on that. I did try powerDVD (a third party bluray windows play...

Re: Is there a reason some 4Ks don't load menus on VLC?
I have no idea what causes menu's to not play in VLC. A clean slate (re-installed windows) fixed the issue for me. Doesn't seem the community has much help in this scenario. I'm guessing its a Windows issue rather than makemkv. However, I have a suspicion that maybe the corruption with loading menus...

Re: Is there a reason some 4Ks don't load menus on VLC?
I just clean swiped my Windows PC. For some odd reason, I kept uninstalling VLC, JAVA and MakeMKV and no matter how much I removed and restarted my PC to make VLC load UHD menus. Nothing worked! I suspected something was off and I got annoyed (as you see my previous post lol). I decided to take the ...

Re: Is there a reason some 4Ks don't load menus on VLC?
Guys theres got to be someone that knows what to do? So am I stuck for those 4K and Blurays to just ignore? I need to be able to play it on VLC or some program so I know what to re-name the files and extras on the movie. The main movie will be easy to name since its the largest file. But for the ext...

Is there a reason some 4Ks don't load menus on VLC?
I don't know where the issue lies. I use makemkv latest version (1.18.2) and VLC x64 latest version (3.0.20 Vetinari). Makemkv integration is checked for VLC. I have the latest Java with the old versions JRE 8 and JavaSE 12. The issue is menus do not play for 4K UHDs. They work in some 4K discs and ...

Re: DVD manually & Fake cells help
#1) This was at the very begining when inputing the title and chapters. I found a list on another thread that worked for three episodes. But the other remaining three are not being ripped. Saving 3 titles into directory C:/Users/jruni/Videos using profile 'custom' from file 'C:\Users\jruni/.MakeMKV/...

DVD manually & Fake cells help
I'm trying to rip a DVD that upon opening it via the DVD disc. Ripping it only gives me 48mins of video rather than the 2 hours is in it. This is an anime disc. So I assume the playlists is intentionally mixed. I have also tried using the "open DVD files manually" after backing up the DVD ...

Re: 47 Meters Down: Uncaged
Seeing that this thread was made in 2019. Fast forward to 2025. I just heard of this movie. I usually use windows process monitor to determine the correct playlist. And I also use " MartyMcNuts" program here: https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=21777 to double check. I...

Re: Failed Main Movie Rip
Found a solution to anyone that encounters the "title saved 0, failed 1" just downgrade makemkv to version 1.12.2. For some reason the newest version higher will not rip some discs.

So I tried downgrading makemkv to version v1.12.2. And ripping the DVD worked flawlessly. And mkvtoolnix doesn't read ISO images.

Re: If you're experiencing rip errors, please read here first!
The other thing that you might try is opening the .iso backup MakeMKV made with MKVToolNix GUI. I don't know for certain that it will open a DVD backup .iso file, but I think it will. Unfortunately, I don't have one handy to test. I haven't had time to test downgrading Makemkv yet. But as stated in...

Re: If you're experiencing rip errors, please read here first!
@jbrip, It seems like you got MakeMKV to successfully make a backup .iso file of your DVD? But then MakeMKV stumbles when trying to open that .iso file? And it does a similar thing if it is trying to read the disc directly? In my experience, DVDs are the wild west of physical media. I think publish...
